The Holocaust was a devastating mass genocide of over six million Jewish individuals as well as members of other groups who were persecuted for being “different.” The Holocaust took place during the Second World War, and was led by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi military. Hitler created multiple concentration camps that housed mass killing centers, the people deemed inferior in the eyes of Adolf Hitler were sectioned off and either immediately murdered, or sent to work until they either died of health issues, malnutrition or found themselves in the gas chambers were millions found themselves entering and never leaving.
Reflection: The effects of the Holocaust have had such a vast impact on the world that decades later, it is widely talked about, taught in schools, and survivors tell their stories in order to never let the devastating act happen again. As previously mentioned, religion is at the forefront of hate in today's time. It is our duty as people to stay informed and never allow something as horrific as the Holocaust happen again, and it is also our right to stand up for what we believe in and not let the select few destroy what they believe to be a problem because they just don't like it.
